Description
This session will focus on the challenges presented by fungal infections in cystic fibrosis, beyond allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. The symposium will explore the culture-independent characterization of the mycobiome of the CF airway and discuss the mechanistic and clinical complexities associated with the management of fungal lung disease in CF.

- Describe the mycobiome in CF lung disease
- Discuss the challenges for the diagnosis and therapy of fungal disease in CF.
- Examine the complex interactions in fungal polymicrobial infections
