New forms of airway clearance are emerging with limited data available. When considering which form of airway clearance to prescribe for each individual patient, the question of efficacy continues to arise. Patient technique also plays an important role in the quality of care, but is often left to subjective means. This workshop will present additional research in the realm of airway clearance. Patient reported experiences with adherence and barriers to exercise and airway clearance as well as combinations of airway clearance forms will be presented.
Identify patient reported adherence and barriers to performing consistent airway clearance and exercise.
Describe the use of technology when paired with airway clearance as a measure of adherence and quality of technique.
Evaluate combinations of airway clearance with nebulized antibiotics as well as additional forms of airway clearance performed simultaneously.
