This workshop will address critical issues for determining lung transplant candidates and the outcomes of lung transplant for individuals with CF.

Educational Objectives:
  • Review the characteristics of individuals with CF who are deemed acceptable candidates for lung transplant in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Assess the value of patient reported symptoms and quality of life on survival after transplant, and the potential for incorporation into a more equitable lung allocation system.
  • Review the outcomes of lung transplant for individuals with CF in relation to CF expertise and severity of illness.
