Description
This session will explore the multiple facets of patient education, as well as collaboration and communication between the CF Care Center and in-patient staff when implementing behavioral interventions for pediatric patients in the hospital setting.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the importance of goal setting and communication with patients and families.
- Identify the importance of collaboration between in- and out-patient multi-disciplinary staff in order to provide support when implementing adherence plans.
- Describe the importance of normalizing the hospital environment for patients and providing patient education when using an incentive program.
