Description

This short course, utilizing interactive discussion and case-based format, will provide recommendations regarding pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic and drug-drug/disease interaction considerations of inhaled and systemic drugs for children and adults with CF. Highlights of the course include intravenous and inhaled antibiotics, CFTR modulators, drug-drug/disease interactions, and interpretation of Phase 1 & 2 clinical trials in CF.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss how knowledge of PK/PD principles can be used to optimize intravenous and inhaled therapy for patients.
  2. Describe the management of interactions with CFTR modulators.
  3. Explain the need for Phase 1 & 2 trials and discuss how the results apply to current practice.
