Description

Patients are encountering increasingly complex insurance, financial, legal, and other issues. This course will offer tips and tools for social workers, nurses, coordinators, and others on the CF care team to help effectively advocate for patients and connect them with the resources they need. The course will also provide an overview of the changing healthcare landscape and strategies for helping patients access their care and treatments.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe strategies for navigating common insurance issues.
  2. Identify programs that provide financial assistance for CF medications and care.
  3. Name appropriate referrals for legal assistance and help with Social Security disability.
