This formal improvement fundamentals course supports CF programs enrolled in the VIP-F3 (Virtual Improvement Program - Fundamentals). The course isâ€‹ a highly interactive introduction to the improvement fundamentals, which will have been preceded by 3-4 months of preparatory organization and planning with an assigned CF quality coach. The CFF improvement fundamentals is based on successful improvement in improving care for people with CF, which is enhanced with an electronic learning platform complete with a CF case study. A CF quality coach will support improvement development for 3 months based on the CF program needs following the NACFC short course.
Develop a plan for quality improvement at your CF center through the Dartmouth Microsystem Improvement Curriculum (DMIC) ramp.
Assess current practice (include CF registry data for 5P assessment and improvement measurement); create a draft global statement and create a flowchart.
Describe how to use and display data to understand current clinical practices; identify areas for change and measurement improvement.
