Alexandra W. M. Wilson, MS, RDN, CDE is a registered dietitian (RD/Nutritionist) and certified diabetes educator at National Jewish Health and with the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of Colorado. She was involved in the development and accreditation of the National Jewish Health Diabetes Self-Management Education Program which specializes in those with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. She has presented on nutrition and CF-related diabetes to CF healthcare providers as well as to students and other allied health providers. Alexandra completed her dietetic internship at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Los Angeles, California. She received her Master of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Alexandra was recognized as the Outstanding Dietitian of the year in 2012 - 2013 for the Northern Colorado Dietetic Association and the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year in 2010 - 2011 for the Colorado Dietetic Association. She is an active member of the Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, currently serving as Past President, was Treasure from 2012 - 2014, and was President of Northern Colorado Dietetic Association from 2010 - 2012. She enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling, and generally being with friends and family when she is not working.
