Amparo Solé, MD, PhD, University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe, in Valencia, Spain. Amparo Solé is associate Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the Medical University of Valencia since 2013. She is Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit, one of largest adult CF programs in Spain, and senior consultant of the Lung Transplant Unit at the UPH La Fe, in Valencia, Spain. She has coordinated an International Guide to Care for the Thoracic Transplant Patient, monograph number 10 year 2017 (International Society of heart and Lung transplantation- ISHLT) She has developed her career in the field of CF and lung transplant at several hospitals around the world - the Royal Brompton Hospital of London, Freeman Hospital in Newcastle (England), Toronto General Hospital in Ontario (Canada), and at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, Australia-. She is recognized by the national and international CF and Lung Transplant (LT) community. Dr. Solé is an active participant at the European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS) and was founding member of the Adult CF Task Force at the European Respiratory Society/ECFS. She is the past president of the Spanish Scientific Society and currently she is the vice-President of the Spanish CF Foundation. She leads the clinical and basic research program for CF in IIS Research Institute. Among her interest in research we can highlight studies related towards the development of CF new drugs, quality of life, fungal infections, lung CF microbiome and lung transplant.
