Dr. Trevor Beaudoin received his Masters of Microbiology from the University of Ottawa and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at McGill University in Montreal. Upon completion of my Ph.D., he joined the laboratory of Dr. Valerie Waters at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. For over a decade he has been involved in the microbiology and pathology of infectious disease in CF pulmonology. this includes the genetic basis for biofilm antimicrobial resistance and initiation of innate immunity in the CF lung. Dr. Beaudoin is currently a part of a multidisciplinary team that is studying how polymicrobial interactions affect eradication therapy in CF patients. Our goal is to achieve a better understanding of initial infectious disease state of these patients and hopefully more options for initial treatment and eradication of PA.
