Victoria L. Holden Ph.D.
Carol Basbaum Memorial Research Fellow, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth
Dr. Victoria Holden received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan in 2016. Her research examined the effects of iron acquisition by siderophores on the immune response during lung infection with Klebsiella pneumoniae. Following her PhD, she joined Dr. Bruce Stanton's research group at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. In 2018, Victoria was awarded the Carol Basbaum Memorial Research Fellow for her CFF Postdoctoral Research Grant Application. Victoria is interested in the immune response to Pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infection, particularly in persons with Cystic Fibrosis. Her research focuses on the interactions between the pulmonary immune system and Outer Membrane Vesicles secreted by P. aeruginosa.
