LaShonna Stodghill received her BS in respiratory therapy in 1992 from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. She has been a respiratory therapist at Children's of Alabama since 1992. LaShonna graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002 with her Masters in Education (health education). She became a respiratory clinical coordinator with the Pediatric Pulmonary Center at COA in 2003. This role involves coordination of in-patient and out-patient care, patient and family education, and discharge planning/equipment referrals for more than 300 pediatric patients with CF. LaShonna presented an abstract at the PT/RT consultation clinic at NACFC 2011. She was a mentor (2010-2012) and is now one of the facilitators of the CFF RT Mentoring Program since 2012. LaShonna was a workshop session moderator and speaker at NACFC 2013. She has done Cystic Fibrosis research and is an author on several poster presentations/abstracts on CF care. LaShonna participates in several QI projects for CFF including IHI, benchmarking with the CF teams in Chile, and the current C3NCF project. She is an active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and the Alabama Society for Respiratory Care.
