Liz Hente earned a Master of Public Health in 2012 from The Ohio State University with a specialization in health behavior and health promotion and has been an employee at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center since 2008. During her tenure at Cincinnati Children's, she has worked as a Research Coordinator in the Center for Adherence and Self-Management in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology as well as a Community Outreach Coordinator in the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children where she managed child maltreatment prevention initiatives. She joined the Division of Pulmonary Medicine in 2016 as the Program Manager for the newly formed program: Cystic Fibrosis Wellness, Education, and Learning Laboratory (CF WELL). Under the leadership of Director, Dr. Thomas Boat, Liz manages the initiation and implementation of family-focused wellness projects in the areas of sleep, stress management, academic performance, and exercise. Liz has extensive experience in research and project management across all programs in which she has worked. Additionally, she specializes in motivational interviewing and is a Certified Trainer of trauma-informed care through Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services.
