Mrs. Patricia Becerra joins NACFC for the second time. In 2016, she attended as a First Year Recipient of the MHC grant at Keck Medical Center of USC, Adult Cystic Fibrosis team, in Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Patricia Becerra, LCSW, comes with knowledge from community mental health and working in private practice in Whittier, CA. Mrs. Patricia Becerra has specialized training in Evidence Based Practices: Seeking Safety (SS), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). Mrs. Patricia Becerra did her undergraduate study in Psychology, Spanish and Social Work at Whittier College in Whittier, California. She then worked in various non-profit agencies throughout Los Angeles County when she was selected to The Reaching for Excellence Program at Smith College School for Social Work, and soon became a member of the 2005 entering class for SCSSW. As a part of her training at SCSSW, she completed two years of clinical internship using her Bilingual and Bi-cultural Skills to engage the Spanish speaking population in the Los Angeles area in receiving culturally and language specific mental health interventions. After graduation in 2007, Mrs. Patricia Becerra accepted a clinical position at a non-profit in Santa Fe Springs, California, called, 'Latina Youth and Family Program', in which she continued to work closely with at risk populations and improve implementation of evidence based practices within the community. Once licensed, as an LCSW in 2010, Mrs. Patricia Becerra, continued to grow in her knowledge and experience within various mental health settings. She is excited and motivated to be a part of the integration of mental health assessment and treatment within the CF care model and partner with adults with Cystic Fibrosis to receive the most optimal and comprehensive care within their multidisciplinary care team.
