Dr. Anabtawi finished her medical school in 2006 from University of Jordan. She completed Internal Medicine residency in Rochester, NY and obtained her American Board of Internal Medicine certification in 2011. Dr. Anabtawi worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) from 2011 to 2014. During her time at KUMC she also completed a graduate certificate in clinical and translational research in 2014 from the University of Arizona- M&E Zuckerman college of public health. Dr. Anabtawi successfully completed Endocrinology fellowship training at KUMC between 2014 and 2016, and obtained her Endocrinology board certification in Nov 2016. She joined the Endocrinology division at KUMC as an Assistant Professor since Aug 2016. In Sept 2016, she was granted the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation Envision award for emerging leaders in CF Endocrinology, since then she has established an endocrinology CF clinic to be part of the multidisciplinary CF clinic at KUMC. She continues to provide care for adult patients with various endocrine diseases. Her research interest is CF bone disease and finding new tools in evaluation and fracture risk assessment. She also has several publications about diabetes mellitus and lipid management.
