Anne Mejia-Downs is an Associate Professor in the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis. She teaches courses in cardiovascular/pulmonary physical therapy and health promotion. Annie received her degree in PT from the University of Colorado, a Masters in Public Health in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina, and a PhD in Health Promotion and Wellness from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She was a Board Certified Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy for 20 years. Annie has published chapters on airway clearance and thoracic organ transplantation in physical therapy texts. She has published peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented nationally on health promotion topics and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, including cystic fibrosis. She continues her clinical practice with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.
