Hiran C. Selvadurai

A/ Professsor Selvadurai trained in paediatric respiratory medicine at Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Sydney. He obtained his PhD on exercise and cystic fibrosis in 2001 ( University of Sydney). He was appointed as clinician scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto in 2000 and was mentored by Professor Allan Coates. He was Director of CF until he returned to Sydney, Australia in 2004. His research interest is exercise physiology in children with CF and other chronic respiratory diseases and has supervised 7 PhD students to successful completion. He is the Head of Respiratory Medicine at the Children's Hospital, Westmead. He is a Director on the Board of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
