Peter H. Michelson M.D., M.S.

Associate Professor of Pediatrics, St. Louis Children's Hospital

Dr. Michelson is a member of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Michelson attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and completed his residency at St Christopher's Hospital for Children, also in Philadelphia. After 5 years working for the Indian Health Service in Anchorage, AK, he completed his training in Pulmonary Medicine at University of North Carolina. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Presently, Dr. Michelson is the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at St Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH), and cares for children with general pulmonary disease as well as end-stage lung disease as part of the lung transplantation service.Additionally, Dr. Michelson has a Master of Science degree in clinical research from the University of Pittsburgh and certification in healthcare quality and patient safety from Northwestern University School of Medicine. His clinical investigations address clinical outcomes associated with new therapies for patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and he helps support SLCH's quality improvement projects relating to pediatric asthma and pulmonary medicine, specifically examining opportunities to improve and advance CF clinical care.
