Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor

Brenda Button has worked in Cystic Fibrosis since 1990 and has been recognized for her contribution to research & clinical practice with the award of Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor by Monash University and by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She has been an accredited Airway Clearance Therapy Instructor with the International Physiotherapy Group for Cystic Fibrosis (IPG/CF) since 2002 and is a frequently invited speaker & course presenter in Australia, North America & Europe. She has also taught courses in South America, South Africa, New Zealand & the UK and has over 50 published articles in peer reviewed journals. She was awarded a Winstom Churchill Fellowship in 2014 to undertake research on the physiotherapy management (airway clearance therapy & physical exercise) of patients with chronic suppurative lung disease requiring ECMO as a bridge to lung transplant in 2015.
