Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator

Cara Gomez, CRT, RRT is the Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado. Cara began working on the in-patient Cystic Fibrosis floor at Saint Joseph Hospital in 2014, and transitioned to a position with the out-patient team in 2015. Cara received her degree in Respiratory Therapy from Pima Medical Institute in Denver. She has enjoyed partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on several occasions, including the Partnership for Sustaining Daily Care and MedGap Analysis pilot projects. Cara has worked to implement a patient advisory board, a quarterly newsletter, and a virtual patient education night within the National Jewish Health Adult CF Center. Cara is an active member of the National Jewish Health QI team. With her efforts on this team she was granted the Care Center Partner Award in 2016. Cara also is involved with a quarterly in-patient CF staff orientation. National Jewish Health has over 500 adult patients on the active registry.
