Dr. Michelle Murray MD, MSc completed her medical education at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland and her medical residency and pulmonary fellowship in Ireland and Canada. During her fellowship training she completed an academic research degree exploring the role of anaerobic bacteria in Cystic Fibrosis from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2014. She also completed a masters degree in Medical Education from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2012. She gained her post graduate certificate in pulmonary and internal medicine training from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2016. She completed further subspecialty training in lung transplantation in Toronto General Hospital and a cystic fibrosis fellowship in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto in 2018. She worked as a Clinical Associate at the Toronto Lung Transplant program. She was a co-leader in Toronto in a CF foundation quality improvement initiative, in improving the transition process of patients with cystic fibrosis to transplant . Dr. Murray returned to Ireland in August 2018 and is currently Consultant Transplant Respiratory Physician at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin and is Clinical Lecturer/Assistant Professor in University College Dublin. Her research interests include pulmonary exacerbations in pre and post transplanted CF patients, and improving health care outcomes and survival for patients with respiratory diseases especially cystic fibrosis.
