Karen S. McCoy M.D.

CF Center Director, Nationwide Children's Hospital

Dr. McCoy completed her MD degree at the University of North Carolina in 1975. She trained in Pediatrics at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, completed in 1979, then completed Pediatric Pulmonology training at Arizona Health Science Center in 1982. She was a staff pulmonologist at Columbus Chilren's Hosital and at Shands Teaching Hospital during her early career. She joined Nationwide Children's in 1987, where she has been the Cystic Fibrosis Center Director at Nationwide Children's and the Division Chief and Director of the Center for Respiratory Health. She is the PI for Therapeutic Development Network site. She participates in clinical care, provides teaching and mentoring of residents and fellows participates in clinical trials and developed the CF translational science working group, focusing on collaborations across several divisions.
