Thida Ong M.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Thida Ong is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Department of Pediatrics and an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital. Dr. Ong graduated with her undergraduate degree with honors in Biology and received her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec (2003). Dr. Ong completed her pediatric residency (2006) at the University of California, Los Angeles and her pediatric pulmonary fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (2006-2009). Dr. Ong is Associate Center Director at the Seattle Children's Hospital CF Center. She is trained as both a University of Washington Quality Improvement Scholar and received training in advanced quality improvement methods at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Ong is a grant awardee of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) Learning Network to advance quality improvement in CF care and serves on the leadership board of the Network. Dr. Ong is the principal investigator for CFF Mental Health Care Coordination Grant and is as a member of the CFF Mental Health Advisory Committee. Dr. Ong's research is directed at improving systems of care in CF and other chronic lung diseases.
