David Josey Jr. M.D.
David Josey Jr. MD is the associate center director of the University of Mississippi Cystic Fibrosis Center. Dr. Josey earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from Oakwood University and Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed a pediatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Josey has participated in multiple quality improvement projects in the CF population and was part of the Fundamentals of learning (FUNLLC1) through Dartmouth University. From that experience, he was the physician lead for the pediatric team project as part of the FUNLLC2 grant. Dr. Josey works with the Infection Control Team at the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a focus on the CF population. He has also regularly lectures to medical students and residents about CF and serves on the board of the Mississippi Chapter of the CF foundation.
