Graduated in Physical Therapy at Methodist University Center (2000), Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Physiology) at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2006) and Post-doctorate at the University of Edinburgh (2010 ). Currently teaches full scheme at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, linked to the Undergraduate Physiotherapy Course. Editor in Chief of the Journal of Science & Health and Coordinator of the Biomedical Research Institute Scientific Committee. Supervisor in the Graduate Program in Pediatrics and Child Health and in the Graduate Program in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Research actuation in the Infant Center, Institute of Biomedical Research (PUCRS), studying mechanisms involved in the effects of stress on the development and also in the area of functional capacity and rehabilitation in chronic respiratory diseases, focusing on cystic fibrosis and asthma, working with both clinical studies and experimental models.
