Karla Foster M.S.
Exercise Physiologist, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
Karla received her Master's degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in 2008 and began her career working for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a research coordinator and clinical exercise physiologist. Her previous research experience included studies on childhood obesity prevention programs and physical activity and nutrition environments in child care settings. Since 2011, she has worked primarily with patients with cystic fibrosis but also works with other pulmonary patients in the outpatient setting conducting exercise tests and developing exercise prescriptions. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Her current research interests include the utility of exercise testing in pulmonary disease, protective effect of exercise in cystic fibrosis, and pediatric pulmonary rehabilitation.
