Geraint Rogers Ph.D.
A/Prof Geraint Rogers is Director, Microbiome Research, at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute in Adelaide. He holds a Matthew Flinders Research Fellowship and leads a research team at the Flinders University School of Medicine. He received his PhD from King's College London in 2005, and has held previous positions at Health Protection England and the University of Queensland, before moving to Adelaide in 2014. Geraint has been a member of the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis Editorial Board since. Xxx. He published amongst the first reports of culture-independent analysis of the CF lung microbiota in 2003 and 2004. He has gone on to publish more than 90 scientific papers, including more than 50 on airway microbiology in CF and bronchiectasis, and has contributed chapters to leading textbooks, including Hodson and Geddes' Cystic Fibrosis. While his research position now covers host-microbiota interactions in relation to many aspects of health and disease, Geraint maintains a strong interest in CF research.
