Lisa Opipari-Arrigan Ph.D.
Lisa Opipari-Arrigan , Ph.D. is a pediatric clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Ohio, USA. She has a joint appointment in the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence and Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology. Dr. Opipari-Arrigan is passionate about improving health care delivery systems for chronic illness care, with a particular emphasis on developing digital health tools to support nutrition management. One area of her research focuses on the development and testing of interventions designed to improve growth and nutrition in children with cystic fibrosis. She is currently the Principal Investigator on an award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation designed to implement and evaluate a web-based behavior plus nutrition intervention to improve growth in children with CF. She is also Co-Principal Investigator on a Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded multisite trial applying N-of-1 methods and mobile health technology to evaluate the effectiveness of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet in reducing symptoms in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease. She brings extensive experience with working to improve family implementation and adherence to nutrition guidelines in CF and other chronic health conditions.
