Dr. Siobhán McClean is an Associate Professor of Biotherapeutics at University College Dublin, Ireland. Her research focuses on opportunistic infections in CF, including Burkholderia cepacia complex, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and co-infecting fungal pathogens, such as Aspergillus fumigatus. She has investigated host pathogen interactions since 2003. Recently her work has focused on the adaptation of these opportunistic pathogens to the CF lung during chronic infection. She also has interests in developing vaccines to prevent infection.
