Attended medicine school at the Medical University of South Carolina before training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics combined residency at Indiana University. Subsequently, completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and served at chief fellow for the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Currently serves as assistant professor at Emory University in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine and the Emory+Children's CF-Air Center for Research. Clinical interest include cystic fibrosis related diabetes diagnosis and management, transition care for young adults with cystic fibrosis and lung transplantation. Research endeavors focus on innate immunity and redox signaling within the lung environment in cystic fibrosis and more specifically cystic fibrosis related diabetes.
