Social Worker, AI duPont Hospital for Children
Kim York received her Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph's University in 1992. She has worked in the field of social work since that time in a variety of settings to include: drug and alcohol rehabiliation centers, counseling agencies and medical settings. Kim received her Master of Social Work degree from Widener University in 1999. She received additional training completing a two-year program in Advanced Child Development from the Family Play Therapy Center in 2010 and has attended training at the Beck Institute in 2013, earning a certificate in Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) with Children and Adolecents. She has been employed with AI duPont Hospital for Children since October 2007 in the role of Cystic Fibrosis Social Worker. She is an active member of the Ethics Committee and the Service Excellence Committee. She has facilited trainings for staff on incorporating CBT into their everyday practice. Kim also has a part-time private practice working primarily with children and adolescents since 2006.
