Dr. Jeffrey Hoag received his MD degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia in 2001, and he stayed at that institution for internship and residency training in Internal Medicine. He then received fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following training, Dr. Hoag took a faculty position at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He was the Associate Program Director for the Drexel Adult CF Center from 2008 through 2010, and since then he has been the Adult Program Director. Dr. Hoag has served on the National Resource Center Committee as part of the Therapeutics Development Network of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well as the Chronic Pulmonary Therapeutics Committee of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He has been involved with Cystic Fibrosis-specific research for the last 8 years and has been the participated in numerous CF clinical trials. In addition to his work in Cystic Fibrosis, Dr. Hoag is the Director of Critical Care for Eastern Regional Medical Center for Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine, he is boarded in Palliative Care Medicine. Moreover, he is the author / coauthor of more than 30 scientific articles and book chapters.
