Galit Livnat-Levanon M.D.

Research Fellow

Dr. Livnat-Levanon had received her MD from the Technion- Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel in 1999. In 2005 after graduating the pediatric residency cum laude, she began pediatric pulmonology residency at Rambam Medical center in Haifa, Israel. In 2014 she has received a short-term fellowship scholarship by the European Respiratory Society and completed a research training fellowship, at the Imperial College, National Heart and Lung Institute, Royal Brompton Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, in London. Recently (2019) she completed one year of translational Research Fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Ohio, U.S.A. Since 2015 she teaches at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Haifa, Israel. Between 2007 & 2014, Dr. Livnat-Levanon was an attending physician at Pediatric Pulmonology unit, Meyer Medical Center, Rambam Health Care Campus, in Haifa, Israel. Parallelly in 2007 Dr. Livnat-Levanon establish the Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic at Hillel Yafe' Hospital in Hadera, Israel. From 2014 Dr. Livnat-Levanon is the director of Pediatric Pulmonology unit and Cystic Fibrosis Center at Carmel Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. While at the pediatric pulmonology unit and Cystic Fibrosis Center, she developed an additional interest in Asthma studies, lung function test in preschool children, as well as pediatric chronic lung diseases. Dr Livnat-Levanon is the author/co-author of more than 40 scientific articles. In the last year, Dr. Livnat-Levanon has expand her horizons in the field of basic science and translational cystic fibrosis research at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where she has learnt a lot about scientific approaches and techniques.
