Elizabeth Burgener M.D.
Elizabeth Burgener, MD is currently an instructor at Stanford University where she previously completed her pediatric residency and fellowship in pulmonary medicine. Her research focuses on the study infection and inflammation in cystic fibrosis. Currently she is studying the role of Pf bacteriophage which infects Pseudomonas aeruginosa in both the laboratories of Drs. Paul Bollyky and Carlos Milla. She is interested in the clinical effects of this bacteriophage both on patient outcomes and bacterial resistance. Clinically Dr. Burgener provides care to patients with cystic fibrosis as well as other pediatric pulmonary diseases.
