Laura Grande M.S., R.D.

Laura has worked in the field of CF nutrition for 8 ½ years. She started at the University of Arizona for her bachelor's degree and then moved across country to Boston for her Master's degree at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. She completed her dietetic internship at the Francis Stern Nutrition Center while concurrently getting her Master's degree. Upon completing her internship and graduate degree, Laura moved to Washington, DC for a pediatric RD job at Children's National Medical Center. She jumped right into working with pulmonary and cystic fibrosis patients and hasn't looked back since. She spent 4.5 years at Children's National working both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. She developed a passion for working with children with cystic fibrosis and decided to take her career to Philadelphia in October 2012. She is currently working as one of the dietitians in the cystic fibrosis center at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Laura has published chapters on cystic fibrosis nutrition in textbooks and has spoken numerous times at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference. She has also served as a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Education Committee and as a mentor in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's formal mentoring program for RDs new to the cystic fibrosis nutrition field.
