Kenneth D. Bruce Ph.D.

Dr. Bruce received his Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen in 1991 on the population genetics of the pathogen Haemophilus influenzae. After a period of post doctoral research, Dr. Bruce was awarded a Natural Environment Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellowship entitled \Molecular analysis of the population structure of bacterial genes in natural environments\ based in the University of Liverpool in 1994. Following an extension of this Fellowship, Dr. Bruce was appointed Lecturer in Molecular Microbiology by King's College London in 1999. His research is focused on the microbiota of the cystic fibrosis airways with the ultimate target of improved treatment of airways infection.
