Daniel H Leung M.D.

Associate Professor

Dr. Leung is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and serves as Director of Clinical Research within the section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. Dr. Leung's clinical interests and research spans disciplines within hepatology and gastroenterology such as CF liver disease, the CF intestinal microbiome, liver fibrosis biomarkers, liver transplant and nutritional outcomes. Dr. Leung currently has funding from the NIH and CF Foundation. He serves as site PI of the Prediction by Ultrasound of the Risk of Hepatic Cirrhosis in Cystic Fibrosis (PUSH) study and is active on the CFLD Network Steering Committee. Alongside Dr. Drucy Borowitz, Dr. Leung has served as Lead Co-PI of the the multi-center Baby Observational and Nutrition Study. His unique skill set in gastrointestinal and hepatology care within cystic fibrosis was recognized by the CFF and he was awarded a Developing Innovative GastroEnterology Specialty Training (DIGEST) Program grant. He is active within the CFF/TDN Clinical Research Award and Grants Committees and committed to the liver, nutrition, and transplant care of patients with CF at Texas Children's Hospital.
