Ning Yang M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Ning Yang is an assistant project scientist at the department of Pediatrics, University of California San Diego (UCSD). She received her M.D. from Zhengzhou University in 2001 and Ph.D. from Capital Medical University in 2008. Dr. Yang completed her postdoc training at UCSD in 2011. Her background and expertise has been in regulation of fluid and electrolyte transport in the intestine. Dr.Yang has made excellent contributions in research, teaching, and mentoring. She is the author/co-author of 17 scientific articles and book chapters. She also reviews manuscripts for many scientific journals. Dr. Yang's current research focuses on the role of bicarbonate in mucus formation and the impact of defective bicarbonate secretion on mucus pathology in cystic fibrosis.
