Martin is an Adult CF pulmonologist who has an interest in complex intervention development and evaluation using approaches that link the MRC complex interventions pathway to improvement science. He is particularly interested in habit formation as a way of creating sustained system change. Martin spent 4 years in the Health Services Research Unit at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where he completing a masters in Public Health and a PhD. Martin leads a 5 year programme funded by NIHR to develop CFHealthHub a complex intervention embedded in a digital platform designed to support self-management and habit formation in adults with CF . He also leads the CFHealthHub learning health system which is currently implementing a clinician and patient facing digital platform in around 50% of UK adult CF units.
