Nicky Murray graduated with Bsc (Hons)in Physiotherapy from the University of East London in 1995. After completing basic rotations she worked at Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital. On leaving Great Ormond Street she worked as a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist at Luton and Dunstable Hospital with a special interest in Respiratory Physiotherapy. During this time she was seconded to work for Asthma UK on an Emergency Care project which she presented at the Royal College of nursing conference and Airways Extra conference. Having secured funding for the creation of an on-site Paediatric Gym she devised and implemented the 'Breathe Smart' group - a local exercise group for children with breathing pattern disorder. In 2011 she moved to the Royal Brompton Hospital where she works as part of the CF Homecare Team providing specialist physiotherapy to children in their own homes and schools. In 2012 she presented her work 'A survey of Parents' Experiences of Nebulised Antibiotics in Pre-School Children with Cystic Fibrosis' at the North American CF Conference in Orlando, Florida.
