Coordinator Adult Program

Connie Richless is a pulmonary clinical nurse specialist. She received a BSN from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh where she continues to serve as adjunct faculty in the graduate school of nursing. She has experience in adult pulmonary acute and critical care, as well as, the care of ventilator and oxygen dependent infants with chronic lung disease. Connie has been the Coordinator of the Adult Program of the Cystic Fibrosis Center of UPMC since 1993, coordinating the care of over 300 adult patients with CF as well as the interdisciplinary team involved in their care. Along with the Program Director and other members of her team, she leads the quality improvement efforts of her program, and has worked with the CFF as a quality improvement and leadership coach for other CF programs. Connie has moderated numerous workshops, symposium sessions and roundtable discussions at the NACFC and has given both slide and poster presentations. She has been a regular mentor for apprentice clinical coordinators since the program's inception, and in 2014, she was honored to receive one of the first Mary M. Kontos Care Champion Awards.
