Michael Cantine has been a Respiratory Therapist for over 36 years. He is in his 28th year at Morristown Medical Center and is currently the Lead Therapist of the Diagnostics Team as well as the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center Respiratory Therapist at Morristown Medical Center's Gunnar H. Esiason CF Center. One of Mike's passions is the patient experience of care. He participates in the MMC Out-Patient Customer Satisfaction Council where he looks at ways to improve the patient experience. He is also a part of the MMC Adult CF Quality Improvement Committee to improve care of the CF patient; both are multidisciplinary. Mike has participated in the National Quality Forum, Pulmonary Endorsement Maintenance Project Steering Committee Washington DC. Here he participated in the approval and recommendations of pulmonary measures for the Committee with prominent Pulmonologists from all over the country. He was able to speak about quality improvement and quality assurance in Pulmonary Function Labs. Mike is currently a member of the Guidelines Steering Committee with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The CF Team at Gunnar H. Esiason CF Center is currently involved with the Lung Transplant Transition Learning and Leadership Collaorative (CFF LTT LLC).
