Theodore G. Liou M.D.

Dr. Liou is the Adult CF Center Director at the University of Utah. He obtained his Doctorate at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Pittsburgh and completed Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship training at the University of Utah. He is a member of the Editorial Board at Chest, serves as a reviewer for multiple Pulmonary and General Medical Journals, reviews scientific grants for the NIH, CF Foundation, the CDC and other entities both public and private in the US and Abroad. Dr. Liou is part of the leadership of the Mountain West CF Consortium. He is interested in understanding survival, disease course, treatment outcomes and the role of airway inflammation in CF. Recent interests include novel manifestations of CFTR mutations that cause disease and the interactions between airway organisms and clinical outcomes.
