Cynthia is the Senior Director of Partnerships for Sustaining Daily Care at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The partnership-for-sustaining-daily-care program is the CF Foundation’s strategic initiative to increase adherence to CF therapies. This multi-faceted initiative brings together individuals with CF, families, care teams, researchers and others in the community to discover tools and programs to support managing and sustaining CF treatments in daily life. Prior to joining the Foundation, Cynthia was the nurse practitioner and nurse coordinator with a key role in establishing an adult CF program in Washington, DC. In 2008, she joined Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to initiate and lead a national effort to promote a culture of research within the CF community by facilitating the development of numerous resources for patients, families, and research teams including the “I Am the Key” campaign and an electronic clinical-research-quality-improvement program. A central tenet of her work in CF is harnessing the power of collaborative work between care teams and individuals with CF and their families to accelerate the rate of improvement in CF care. Cynthia has spoken nationally and internationally on issues related to partnering with people with CF.
