Lisa has been a respiratory therapist for over 30 years. She has been involved in patient and provider education and pulmonary research throughout that time. She holds credentials for Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist and Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist as well as her Registry from the National Board of Respiratory Care. She is also a Certified Asthma Educator, Certified Case Manager, and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. These have all been invaluable tools in shaping her career over time.
Lisa has had an active role in the Therapeutic Development Network , including participating on the Protocol Review Committee, procedure development, and being part of an instructional video. Through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation she was part of the Guideline Committees for both Infant Care Guidelines and Pre-school Care Guidelines, mentoring new respiratory therapists, and served on the Education Committee. She has been a frequent presenter at the NACFC in topics of respiratory care and research. Currently she employed by the Boston Children’s Health Physicians , don’t be fooled - not in Boston! Affiliated with New York Medical College the Armond V Mascia MD CF Center provides care to both the adult and pediatric CF patients in several cities throughout the Westchester region in New York.
