Patrick R. Secor Ph.D.

Senior Fellow, University of Washington

Dr. Secor received his PhD at the Center for Biofilm Engineering at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. His research focused on host-pathogen interactions between Staphylococcus aureus biofilms and human epithelium. After earning his PhD, he joined William Parks' laboratory at the Center for Lung Biology at the University of Washington. Here, Dr. Secor focused on interactions between host derived polymers and Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms. He then joined Pradeep Singh's laboratory, continuing his research on how host polymers influence disease pathogenesis, focusing on P. aeruginosa infections of the lungs of patients with cystic fibrosis.
