Clinical Research Manager

Elizabeth R. Hartigan, RN, MPH, CRM is currently the Clinical Research Manager of the Pulmonary and Allergy and Immunology divisions and the Clinical Research Support Services program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She worked as a registered nurse in emergency medicine, then took a position at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 1986 as a clinical research nurse coordinator and was promoted to manager in 2008. She obtained a BSN from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in 1982, a MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 and a post-graduate certificate in Clinical Research Management from Duke University in 2009. She is actively involved in mentoring new research managers and has numerous invited teaching presentations both locally and nationally on the topic of clinical research.
