Peter Haggie Ph.D.
I studied biochemistry as an undergraduate at Oxford University, and received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cambridge University. I started a postdoctoral position in UCSF in 1999, and have remained at the same institution since. At UCSF, my initial CF-related research investigated CFTR cell biology and mechanisms of CF pathophysiology. More recently, my research program has focused on development of novel therapeutic approaches for CF. These studies utilize high throughput screening approaches, and have targeted rare CFTR mutations, host-pathogen interactions, non-pulmonary CF manifestations, and novel CF-relevant therapeutic targets.
