Cindy Greene earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 1994 from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. In 1996 she earned her Masters of Social Work at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After receiving her Masters degree, Cindy worked at Presbyterian Childrens™ Village for more than 7 years, first in foster care and then in the Philadelphia School District. Cindy has been a social worker at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical since March 2004 when she assumed the role of the Pediatric Social Worker in the Childrens™ Hospital. In November 2007, Cindy became the Cystic Fibrosis Social Worker at Hershey. This role involves working with 280 pediatric and adult patients with CF and their families. Cindy was the Principal Investigator at Hershey Medical Center for the Alexandra Quittner research study, looking at the Prevalence and Impact of Depression and Anxiety in CF Patients and their Caregivers. She was also involved in the Adult Quality Improvement Initiative sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from 2010 - 2011. Cindy took what she learned through the QI Initiative back to Hershey and helped to establish Pediatric Quality Improvement in the center. Cindy has served on the board of the local CF Chapter since September 2011 and is on several sub-committees within the chapter. Cindy has also been involved speaking at and organizing sessions at NACFC in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
