Dr Dao Nguyen received her MD.CM (1997) and MSc Epidemiology (2004) degree from McGill University, and completed her training in Internal Medicine (New England Medical Center, Tufts University), clinical fellowship in Adult Respirology (McGill University), and research PDF at Childrens' Hospital (Seattle) and the University of Washington in Microbiology. She is a clinician-scientist and Associate professor of Medicine at McGill and Meakins Christie Laboratories, and attending staff in the Division of Adult Respirology at McGill University Health Centre. Her research is focused on CF microbiology and host-pathogen interactions, molecular microbiology of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and mechanisms of antibiotic tolerance and biofilm biology. She has published in Science, Science Advances, PNAS, AJRCCM, and Pediatric Pulmonology among others. She is the recipient of a Cystic Fibrosis Canada Scholarship, CIHR Clinician scientist award, and Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for Medical Scientist.
